Amazon launches Kindle Paperwhite with 16 GB storage and 12 weeks battery life
Amazon on Wednesday (April 30, 2025) launched the new Kindle Paperwhite in India. The U.S.based tech giant says that the new Kindle Paperwhite has 25% faster page turns.
The Kindle Paperwhite has a 7-inch waterproof display with 300 ppi. The display uses an oxide thin-film transistor for a higher contrast ratio. It also claims an improved keyword touch-response for easy navigation.
Kindle Paperwhite offers an adjustable warm light and dark mode for customisation.
Amazon claims up to 12 weeks of battery life on the new Kindle Paperwhite.

Amazon offers 16 GB storage capacity on the Kindle Paperwhite. It comes with features like X-Ray that provides important details about people or places mentioned in a book and a built-in dictionary to quickly look up any words and translations.
Word Wise provides short, simple definitions that automatically appear above difficult words to help customers learn a new language.
Kindle Paperwhite has over 1.5 crore titles worldwide across genres on Amazon. Users can also enjoy eBooks in languages such as Hindi, Tamil, and Marathi, among others. Kindle Unlimited subscribers get unlimited access to over 20 lakh eBooks. Amazon Prime members can access a rotating catalogue of select eBooks at no additional cost.
Kindle Paperwhite can be purchased at ₹16,999 on Amazon. It is available in Black.
