Google rolls out iOS Gemini feature to save locations from screenshots: Report

Google is rolling out an AI-powered feature that will save location information from the saved screenshots of iOS device users, reported the 9to5Google tech outlet.

Powered by Gemini, the new feature lets Google scan your saved screenshots for location information through Maps, and then save the data for the user’s reference, per the outlet.

iOS device users can find the feature, if they have the latest version of Google Maps, by navigating to the ‘You’ tab. Screenshots will be saved there in the form of a private list.

The new feature makes it easy for users to find locations they are interested in, or those they wish to return to, instead of going through their photo collections and then looking up the place on Google Maps in a multi-step process.

Android users can also expect the feature in the future, reported 9to5Google.
