Motorola on Wednesday (July 9, 2025) launched the Moto G96 5G smartphone for the mid segment buyers in India. The new Moto G96 5G will offer 1 year of OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates.
Moto G96 5G has 6.67 inch FHD+ pOLED 3D curved display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and supports Smart Water Touch as well.
The Moto G96 5G comes with a 5,500 mAh battery supported by a 33 W charger. It also has dual stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Moto Spatial Sound. It is IP68 rated for water resistance.
Moto G96 runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor with in-built 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage. It also offers up to 24 GB virtual RAM.

Moto G96 5G sports a 50 MP Sony Lytia 700C camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide + macro + depth sensor. On the front, it houses a 32 MP selfie camera with 4K video recording. It also has Google Photos’ AI-powered tools including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur and Magic Editor.
The Moto G96 5G comes in two storage variants: 8 GB/128 GB, priced at ₹17,999 and 8 GB/ 256 GB at ₹19,999, in Ashleigh Blue, Greener Pastures, Cattleya Orchid and Dresden Blue shades. The sale begins July 16 on Flipkart, Motorola, and at leading retail stores across India, including Reliance Digital.
